Lemonade

Excuse my extremely creepy and joker like face in these photos...

Dress; ASOS | Necklace; Gift | Socks; ASOS | Trainers; Reebok @ ASOS | Bag; eBay

I’m having a moment with yellow and neon at the moment - considering the weather is absolutely awful. Yellow just improves your mood whenever you wear it and God knows my mood needs improving.

The Bargain Hunter

Skirt; eBay | Top; H&M | Shoes; Forever 21 | Belt; Primark | Hat; H&M

It’s officially summer so I am free to blog all day long! All my work has been handed in and my second year is over. By this time next year I would have finished university for good - can you believe it? It’s gone exceptionally fast.

Can you also believe I actually have proper pictures for once?! Taken by my fabulous flatmate. The skirt cost me 99p from eBay I’m so smug about it I’ve had to tell the world. The top was also a steal, in the sale for £4. I’m getting the hang of being poor now and not spending massive amounts on clothes. Please ignore how dirty my shoes are, I’ve worn them out once and this is what’s happened. This is why I don’t do many posts with heels on because all of my heels are all so dirty from nightclub floors.

Nothing else really exciting going on this summer as of yet, the plan is to get a job (please someone hire me), go on holiday, decorate my room and start saving.

P.S I am selling a lot of clothes on eBay at the moment so if you fancy a bargain ---> jazmin.duribe

Work Experience with The Guardian

Day 1.

Today was my first day in the real world and I got to experience the delights of the London transport system.  How I love the tube, smelly people and people who think it's okay to stand right up your arsehole on the escalator. I've been wondering why does everyone do this weird jog/run/walk everywhere? It's irritating - where is the fire? Slow and steady wins the race.

Anyway my task for the day was to comb through newspapers and find all the fashion articles for the editor. As boring as this may sound I actually enjoyed the chance to go through a newspaper in peace without someone looking over my shoulder at it. However I was cross eyed by the time I left.

Day 2.
This outfit was like going out in a onesie - so comfortable. The trousers were too big though and it made me look like I was trying to smuggle a racoon in my knickers.

I also felt really overdressed as people in the office dressed relatively casual.

Top (actually a dress); eBay | Trousers; ASOS | Belt; ASOS

Day 3.

Knitted bomber; Miss Selfridge | Dress; ASOS | Belt; ASOS | Necklace; a gift

Day 4.

I shipped all the clothing back from a shoot. I basically had to check they were all in the right bags, then address them and ship them off. It was nice to see some of the SS13 things I'd seen in magazines in real life but also torture as I can't afford them or fit into them.

Day 9.

Top; eBay| Skirt; ASOS | Knitted Bomber; Miss Selfridge | Necklace; H&M

Day ? Who knows what day it is now they’re all going into one.

I spent the next couple of days writing credits, requesting prices and sending emails. It gave me a chance to speak to people in PR companies and look at all the infomrmation of Fashion Monitor. But it was horrifiying finding out some of the prices of the clothes. This has confirmed the need for a Sugar Daddy in my life.

Last Day!

My final duties today were to ship things back to PR companies used for a shoot something which I have now mastered. So in conclusion, I have to say I have throughly enjoyed my time at The Guardian, the people were lovely and I felt like I actually worked there at the end of it. An internship is a fundemental part of getting into journalism and now I see why because there is just so much to learn.

Get Ready With Me

Try to contain your excitement but I decided to do a bit of a different post today. Last Monday I received this top from Empty Casket and I was going out that night so I had to wear it. I’ve wanted a ‘Chanel’ t-shirt for a while but because I have so much dripping CC stuff I decided to go for this one.

Here are just some of the things I might have worn it with. There were others but these were far too ghastly for other humans to see.

T-shirt; Empty Casket | Necklace; H&M | Jacket; ASOS | Bracelet; New York Market

Leather Shorts; Miss Selfridge via Walthamstow Market (only a £1!!!)

Double leather. Fishnets. Two seconds away from being picked up by a random stranger and knowing my luck it would not have been Richard Gere.

Purple Disco Pants; American Apparel

This is what I actually decided to go for. I felt like it was the right mix between casual and dressyish...kind of?

Rich Bitch

Warning! In the following photos I look very rough and creepy but it was late at night and I had minimal make-up on.

Coat; Dorothy Perkins | T-Shirt; eBay | Skirt; eBay | Necklace; H&M | Camo Jacket; eBay | Belt; ASOS | Bag; A Friends

I’ve neglected my blog again and for that I apologize as this is truly appalling behavior. But don’t worry too much i’ll be back to the regular blog posts once I sort my life out within the next week.

I know people say camo jackets are soooo out right now but I still like mine sooooo I don’t care. I put it with my new skirt which I’m so in love with. When I saw it my inner chav screamed at me “YOU HAVE TO BUY IT!!!” I’ve wanted a tartan skirt for a while and I’d lost out on so many so when I bought this for £4 I was pretty happy. A couple of people asked me if I was on my way to school but if my school had had this skirt I would have never left.

P.S It’s come to my attention that you may have noticed some punctuation, grammar and spelling mistakes. If this is annoying you the simple solution is to stop reading because I will freely admit I do not have a clue how to use anything past a full stop and a comma. Soz.

Gray

T-Shirt; Urban Outfitters | Skirt; Primark | Trainers; Converse @ Schuh | Jacket; ASOS

I can’t believe I haven’t blogged for the whole of February. This is purely down to sheer laziness and a lack of new clothing and for that I sincerely apologize.

Nothing much has been happening for me in recent weeks so I assure you you have not been missing out on anything. Life is pretty mundane.

This is what I wore to the pub today - not that exciting and slightly drab but all I wanted to do was drink cider and be comfortable. The sun came out so of course I had to break out the sunglasses. A lot of people criticize me for wearing sunglasses in the winter but who cares they’re meant for shielding your eyes from the sun it doesn’t matter that it’s -3 degrees. It also helps to shield my eyes from all those paparazzi flashes I get whenever I leave the house...

P.S Exciting things coming up in March, I don’t want to reveal all in case it falls through and I look like a tit so you shall have to wait and see.
